would they (Cordy and Angel) gone back to Buffy? Say the show was mid way through first season and struggling, so they just decided to end it, would Angel and co. gone back to Sunnydale? I mean the reason Angel left Sunnydale was for his own series so if he didn't have it anymore..I think he would have gone back to Sunnydale.

They would probably come back for a few episodes, but i don't think they would have stayed on the show.

At least for the Angel character, his Buffy plot was beyond resolved, so bringing him back full time would really have hurt the show. I can see he or Cordy coming back for a few eps (maybe a three-ep mini-arc), but aside from that they wouldn't have had much of a future.

How about the other way round - if there was an angel s6 (and s7 and s8), will they keep bringing in old buffy characters?

Hmmm.... I could see a couple of eps finally dealing with Buffy/Spike/Angel, and maybe Xander, Willow or Giles could pop up for a few eps, but aside from that, the two shows would have diverged enough not to need any more crossovers.

I felt that 'the girl in question' was enough to deal with A/S/B. I mean, I didn't really want to see buffy dating the immortal forever, but the angel/spike side to it had been resolved.

i think they would have found some reason 4 them 2 return. myabe they would end up going back cuz the gang needed them and cordy fell bck n love wit xander and angel would stalk buff n the shadow 4 a little bit till she found out and there would be a couple of seasons going by where they r tryna get bck 2geda but cannot cuz of things gettin in the way...but soon like in end of season 5 and then they might find a way 2 get married and then some more stuff would get in the way but by the end of the series, they will finally betogether without ne interuptions.there.wow.all in 1 breath.lols

Cordy and xander getting back together? Aside from the fact that she died... they are two very different people now. Cordy has grown a lot over the years and xander... ok he's still the immature teenager he always was. I don't see why she would want to be with him, especially after being love with angel and the grusalug, two champions....

Me I think that if XAnder ever saw the Cordy that was in the Angel series, not that selfish, thinks of others, the Cordy thats oppisite from the onwe on Buffy, I think Xander would have a heart attack.But I don't really think that Angel would come back completly just on some episodes. Cause at the end of S3, the writers kinda screwed that relationdhip up. But thats just my opinion.

I think the shows were seperated too long. If they stopped mid-first season of Angel then maybe they could have salvaged something of the bond between the characters like Angel realising he made a mistake but still i dont think the two would have worked out. Anyways, Cordy still hates Xander for what he did so they couldnt be together and i think buffy was past the whole childish name-calling that cordy brought to the show. If they brought Angel back later in the series it could potentially work, but only for a while...but thats just my opinion...

I would have liked to see a lot more angel to buffy crossovers than there were though. Buffy characters were going to angel all the time, but angel himself was the only one of the LA gang to ever go back to sunnydale. They should have had cordy return for xanders wedding, at the very least.
