Movie or TV Show?

The show - no question. It was darker, funnier and had Spike lol.

Really though a lot of people look at the film and consider it a throw-away - I don't think even the anti-fans of the show can call it that. At least not realistically simply because it's become a cult icon whereas the film, while it was the start of it, could've easily been forgotten by so many

Although without the movie (which I don't mind really) I doubt that the show would exist, I still picked the TV show as it's just so much better.
