It's a toss up between seasons 2 and 3, but 2 edged out 3 because there was so much at stake for Buffy, Angel was evil and Buffy was conflicted, the Scoobies were good. I loved it. I didn't like season 6 or 7 at all. Season 6 was too depressing and too much Dawn. I think it was a mistake introducing her. Then season 7 the introduction of the Slayerettes was horrible.

I agree with you to a point about Dawn, at first i really hated her but so far through season 7 i began to like her, i duno why though! lol And i hated the Slayerettes, they were extremely annoying but i guess they were needed for the season to advance and come to an end!

She was still horrible and mostly a waste of space, but anything is better than that ear-piercing screech of 'get out, get out, get out!'

I dunno why everyone hates dawn so much. Ok it was a little weird at the start of s5 when she became a regular character right from the start, but she soon became more part of the gang. The show needed someone younger, its supposed to be a show all about growing up, but by about s5 everyone had already grown up, and dawn was needed to fulfill those kind of stories. And to be fair, annoying as the mini slayers were, they weren't all annoying. It was mostly kennedy and the british slayers with awful accents, and the sheer volume of nameless slayerettes that were the problem. Imho a few of the slayerettes were kinda interesting, in particular amanda and vi. Though we hardly had enough time to learn anything about them, as soon as they were introduced, they became absorbed into the mini slayer army.

Dawn annoyed me because of the constant whining the character did. It was like having a teenage girl around the house. I actually started to like her in Season 7, especially after the episode Potential. Her talk with Xander was one of the best of the season.

I dunno why everyone hates dawn so much. I can't speak for everyone, but I have quite a few reasons for disliking Dawn. She was an unnecessary Cosby Kid add-on designed to boost ratings in the young-teen demographic after the S4 ratings drop. In order to explain her arbitrary being tacked on, the writers had to come up with a truly silly and unbelievable explanation, which was hard to accept even within the scope of the Buffyverse. It's quite a spell that can change the minds and memories of thousands of people. It also causes lots of problems - ie why the monks didn't make Dawn stronger, or more able to deal with the truth, or cue anyone off about Glory, or simply make the Key a marble and get Buffy to lock it away in a drawer. Then there's the personality of Dawn herself. A truly hideous human being, she never does anything but whine, cry and shriek - and most of the time, it's not in fear or terror, but just for the sake of it. As a new character, she provided no insight into any of the other characters, and had no intelligent/smart/funny lines in almost the entirety of the show. For S5 to work, you had to want Dawn to live. I disliked her so much, I'd have cheered if Glory had bled her there and then. And it only got worse in S6. Thankfully, she got a little better in S7 - but a little better than horrible still isn't much.

my favorite season of buffy would have to be season 5, only because the two best episode were in season 5. The Body and The Gift. Those i think were the some of the best episode that Joss had written.
I like all the season but 5 was the best...at least in my opinion.

I can't really choose between season 3 and 4. Season 3 has to most funny episodes. I really really loved Band Candy ^^ But i also love season 4. It has a good story. And i liked it that Spike began falling for Buffy. Something blue is a awesome episode! The wordt season is season 7. I liked that Buffy can rest at the end of the season, because she isn't the only slayer now. But i didn't like the story behind the ending. With every potential becoming slayer. Liked no one every thought of that before...

I chose season 1, but if I had to choose then like charmed I like the earlier ones, I think they were better.
Just my opinion though.

Season 3 is my favorite followed closely by season 2. Two main Buffy/Angel seasons. Awesome seasons!

OMG this is a toughy; especially because i loved every single season. But, i chose season 7. I just thought it was a really interesting final storyline. I mean, Buffy came all this way and i really think that the way it ended was PERFECT. Throughout the whole season, you got to see how much each character has grown from the beginning and what the future will hold for them. Plus, i loved the relationship between Buffy and Spike. And i thought it was a great idea to bring another woman into Willow's life. Kennedy gave her the strength to get through her magic issues. I really don't think Kennedy took Tara's place at all, she just helped Willow move on.
