Band Candy Was awesome. I loved it when Giles and Joyce were their younger selves. Giles seemed pretty cool. lol But The Prom came pretty close. You are so right. Angel-Tux-most definitely eye candy.

Three-way tie for the best ep, between 'Doppelgangland', 'The Wish' and 'Earshot'. I voted for Earshot in the end simply because it was excellently conceived and produced, showed great character development and was highly meaningful. There was lots of good humour too, and the scenario of Buffy being 'infected' by a demon was both believable and something that had needed to be addressed.
Worst ep would be Dead Man's Party, a big mess of an episode that sacrificed believable character development - ignoring the fact that Buffy had been forced to kill the love of her life - in order to scream the message that running away is bad.

I really didn't care for Anne too much. I thought it really did nothing for the plot of Season 3, other than show where Buffy ran too.

In terms of emotion, the episode did a nice job of exploring Buffy's identity - which provided the foundation for the later comparisons drawn between Buffy and Faith.

The influence of Buffy's friend and family on her is important. They are what keep Buffy from becoming a typical Slayer.

my favorite episode in season 3 would have to be prom. Just because of this quote:
We have one more award to give out. Is Buffy Summers here tonight? Did she, um... This is actually a new category. First time ever. I guess there were a lot of write-in ballots, and, um, the prom committee asked me to read this. "We're not good friends. Most of us never found the time to get to know you, but that doesn't mean we haven't noticed you. We don't talk about it much, but it's no secret that Sunnydale High isn't really like other high schools. A lot of weird stuff happens here. But, whenever there was a problem or something creepy happened, you seemed to show up and stop it. Most of the people here have been saved by you, or helped by you at one time or another. We're proud to say that the Class of '99 has the lowest mortality rate of any graduating class in Sunnydale history. And we know at least part of that is because of you. So the senior class, offers its thanks, and gives you, uh, this. It's from all of us, and it has written here, "Buffy Summers, Class Protector."
that was the best part of show because it showed buffy that she wasn't alone and that people do take notice in her saving their lives night after night.
