I think this is one of the best shows of this season. We got to see Angelus at his prime. Stalking his victim...killing her with batting an eye.
What are your thoughts?

I think that's how Xander found out about Buffy in the first episode. He was browsing for a book.
There was also a time when students walked into the library, and Xander asked them "can we help you" very sarcastically. I think they were very possessive of the library.
I wonder why Oz. I really liked his character.

Joss wanted to kill off a member of the gang to shake things up, but he didnt want to loose one of the core regular characters, so it was either oz or jenny that had to go. Seth had great chemistry with alison, so instead of killing off oz he chose jenny.

this is my favorite buffy episode. it was almost choreographed like a dance--beautifully written. the scene where giles finds jenny is one you remember step by step. even the narration was perfect. everything just tied together flawlessly.

I loved the poem Angel narrates, you can tell the episodes the writers felt passionate about (pardon the pun) that episode is my favorite from the season... I actually liked Jenny though, she could've had a good character arch if they let her.

I agree about the brilliance of this episode (have written about it in a couple of threads, so won't reprise it again here); it's a shame Jenny had to die, it would have interesting to see what the show would have been like had they stuck to the original plan and had Angelus kill Oz. Probably not as emotional, but still an interesting 'What if....' nonetheless.

That's an interesting idea! I think in S3 they dropped a few hints for both Xander and Willow possibly being gay (Joss had always wanted a gay character to fit in with the show's outcasts-become-heroes theme); it would have been intriguing to see how they'd have dealt with it without the cover of college to work with.

I wrote a fanfic that focused on Andrew/Xander/Oz and I wanted to play on the idea that in S7 Andrew and Xander had some "moments" so I aluded to a possible relationship, it was a great story, I'm just at a block right now...
I just realized the only reason I put this in this thread was there was the mention of hinting he was gay... LOL m'bad

LOL--i totally missed the hints about xander. i wasn't overly fond of jenny, but i think it would have been an awesome storyline if she had been one of the "big bads". The actress that played her did a great job as the First.
