I chose "Lies My Parents Told Me." I love the Spike driven episodes and learning as much as we could about his past. This epidsode, showing his conversion of his mother, was very disturbing and explained a lot about Spike's personality. (I think he retained a lot more William than anyone ever knew.)

My favorite was Chosen. It was my favorite but it was the saddest. Why couldn't someone else hae died. Why did have to be Spike? I loved how her last word was Spike. It was also the saddest because it was the last one.

I GREATLY enjoyed James Marsters' "Spike." I think from the beginning he brought a new energy to the show. I also really enjoyed him with Buffy because he really wasn't inclined to let her get away with being self-absorbed. He really added to the show Angel when he joined that cast.

He did play a great role with Buffy. He went from trying to kill her to trying to make love to her. I loved him in Angel. He wasn't needed, but a great add in all the same.

Was hard to choose just one, but I went with Selfless, it made my spine tingle in a way that no other episode quite achieved.

I chose the lies my parents told me cause it shows how spike was towards he mother and i thought it was cool Surely they could have found a better way to do that episode though, for instance a way that didn't leave anya, xander, willow, dawn and andrew with token appearances and one line each?

I voted for Same Time, Same Place, as it (along with First Date, Storyteller and Chosen) was one of the few watchable episodes that year. There was some nice humour, a decent metaphor and plot, a demon that was actually scary/horrific, and decent character development.
Worst ep would go to the mess that was Empty Places, in which all of the characters completely forgot who they were. Runner up goes to Lies My Parents Told Me, which substituted trite Freudian psychology for character development, took a lot of depth away from Spike, and violated several bits of vampire canon without due explanation.

What is your least fave ep of this season? My least favorite this season was Him. Just didn't work for me.

I loved 'Him'! Ok the plot had already been done before...but how can you hate an ep that has a 4 way split screen? ;D
Besides, there were so many worse episodes later on in the season. Almost the entire second half of season 7 could have been made into one episode. And some eps like 'touched' and 'the killer in me' were just abysmal.
But imho the worst episode of season 7 (and possibly the worst ep of the whole of buffy) was 'showtime'. In particular that scene where buffy, willow and xander are all speaking telepathically, even though it was blatantly impossible, and completely unnesseccary, and totally out of character. You saw willow talking into peoples heads in 'the gift' and 'bargaining', but whomever got the message had to talk back using their mouth. And something that is obviously magical shouldn't be possible if willow was no longer using magic. And how can xander just walk into a telepathic conversation?

my favorite would have to be Showtime because Buffy showed them that the uber vamp could be killed, and she showed them why she is the orginal slayer and no one questions she motives!
