September's Hot Topic is Laws! You could discuss which laws do you disagree with - for example, do you agree with the age that you can start driving in England (17) or the age at which you can legally drink alcohol in America (21)? You could also talk about which laws you would change or add if you could!

Some English laws are pretty strange, I always find it weird that you're considered legally old enough to have sex (and possibly children) at 16, yet not responsible enough to buy an alcoholic drink or put a tick in an election ballot. Aside from that oddness, most are alright, although I think that the views of religions should be kept segregated from most laws; fundamentalism is dangerous and should be kept out of the system.

I think our Constitution is one of the best documents ever written. But there are always the wack jobs that try to dismantle it....like our President with his Patriot Act.

[glow=red,2,300]We do have some sensible laws. Whereas some are stupid and could do without some of them, like the patriot act. [/glow]
