May's Hot Topic is Cartoons!

This will be a very quick hot topic for May (since it's almost June now).

So, do you like to watch cartoons? If you do, what are your favourites?
Do you like The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, etc?
What were your fave cartoons when you were a child?

Oh well, better late than never!

I don't watch any cartoons that frequently, but I enjoy the first four seasons of The Simpsons quite a bit - much like early Buffy, they have a great balance of plot, humour and characterisations (although the show thoroughly sucks now, and has done for about a decade). Futurama was also pretty enjoyable while it was on - I got the DVDs recently, and both the humour and character development were excellent throughout the series, so I'm looking forward to its return next year.

Elsewhere, there are a few South Park episodes I like (especially its slam on Paris Hilton, "Stupid Spoiled "W***e Video Playset"), and one of my friends has been making me watch the anime Card Captor Sakura, which is surprisingly good considering it's aimed at 10-15 year old girls.

Can't think of any others - Family Guy and American Dad strike me as being lazy and overly crass, and I don't think they'll ever reach the classic status of The Simpsons (which they're arguably derived from). There are probably others, but I spend so little time watching TV lately that I have no idea if there's any good new stuff on.

I watch quite a few cartoons, maybe too many. I love the simpsons and futurama (best show ever), family guy is ok if you ignore how simpsonsy it is, american dad is just crap though. South park is good too, but like the simpsons its been going downhill recently. I also watch king of the hill , daria, harvey birdman, sealab 2021, the brak show, ren & stimpy and drawn together.

When I was younger I used to watch more warner brothers like coyote and roadrunner, and kids cartoons like teenage mutant ninja turtles and pokemon, which was the only anime cartoon I could ever get into. But now I'm more into animated sitcoms, maybe even more so than live action sitcoms.

I watch simpsons once in a while, not enough to notice if its deterierating. Family Guy, dont watch it. Mostly because a friend of mine feels he must explain every episode to me, but then I do that with Buffy to him so I guess its ok. There is this one cartoon on some mornings called Liberty Kids. Its kinda cheesy, but it deals with alot of colonial events in detail. I started watching it when I started my Amer. History class and it sorta helped.

My Favorite Cartoons date back to the late 80's early 90's so other then that I don't watch a whole lot of animated tv unless I'm watching the Oh So Famous Show Robot Chicken Created by Seth Green himself, that show is always a riot because of the things they make fun of.

I like watching South Park and Anime. When I was growing up I liked to watch The Simpsons, and the Looney Toons.

I loved the Looney Tunes, that's the main animated cartoon I watched when I was growing up - Bugs Bunny was my fave! But then I started watching the Simpsons and Futurama - I still watch them if there's nothing else on and I think they are still both really great cartoons! I have watched a couple of South Park episodes but I don't really like it.
Now the main cartoons I watch are Family Guy and American Dad - they're both quite similar but they make me laugh so that suits me!
