I was wondering, in the opening credits for nearly every season is a mummy hand yet we do not see said mummy hand walk on a skull until season 6 in Life Serial. Is it the same mummy hand? Or am I just mistaking that mummy hand for another?

Are you sure there was a mummy hand?
I seem to remember one, but after looking at the opening intros I can't seem to find any mummy hands.

^ There's a mummy hand in the S7 credits (the Life Serial one), but I don't recall seeing any in those for the earlier seasons.

There is only a mummy hand in season six and season seven's intros. For season six, it shows the mummy hand right before a Sarah Michelle Gellar picture. I think the hand from season six' intro was when it had picked up the tongs....Not sure. But, there is the seventh, when the hand is on the skull.
In season seven, they should have put in the SMG credits when she was getting choked by the hand, that would've been funny.
