What new shows are you watching that are filling the void btvs's cancellation left behind?

None, unfortunately. I have no television in my new home (I refuse to pay for a TV licence when it's all soaps and reality shows), so I have no idea what's on at the moment. I content myself with my Buffy, Angel, Simpsons and Futurama DVDs, as well as movies here and there.

I've been watching some shows here and there like NCIS and Shark, but they dont really fill the void quite the same. Although, if there were a new Star Trek series, it would be the main thing I'd watch but there isn't.

Hey partcynic, be sure to get the new futurama movie on dvd, it won't be available in the UK till april, so you'll have to ebay yourself an american copy like I did. You gotta love multi regional dvds.  I've been fulling my time watching smallville (in my opinion its gotten better since they added lois lane) and new doctor who. Those are the only sci-fi/fantasy shows I still watch, though I do watch monk, south park and a few other shows now and again. |

Law & Order: SVU! I'm beyond obsessed with this show. Even when I know the outcome of a case I can watch it over and over again. It's brilliant television and when looking at the other shows I watch, it seems very out of the ordinary. It's my second favorite show of all time (first being Xena). Other shows I watch are Bones, House M.D, Heroes, Gossip Girl, Supernatural and Nip/Tuck. But SVU is definitely my guilty pleasure.  |

My new TV show would have to be Navy NCIS. I love that show. I also watch Smallville and CSI: Miami when I can.

Has anyone else watched 'being human'?
Aside from buffy and angel I'm not really into fantasy, but when I heard there would be a show about 'a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost who live together', well I had to check it out. And it was awesome! There was action, comedy, horror, this show was filling the gap for me that was left when buffy was cancelled. Whats more it didn't seem like a buffy-clone show, with some teenager who gets powers and fights demons. If anything, it was like buffy without buffy, like what if it was just the scoobies who were fighting the bad guys without any 'leader'? Only with less emphasis on fighting bad guys and more on just trying to fit into society and coping with being who/what they are.

Mine is now Dollhouse and Degrassi. I got the first season of Dollhouse and I watched it over and over for days. Then I stopped, and now I'm on to it again |
