I personally really liked this episode. Spike was always an entertaining vampire, even before he got his chip in. I think he was helpful to Buffy about his killings of previous Slayers.
What do you think of this episode?

I loved this ep, especially the way it tied in with the angel episode 'darla', with joining flashbacks, you have to see both episodes to see the big picture.
One little annoyance though- the slime demon. It was mentioned in a previous episode, and it was a nice bit of continuity that they put him in, but he was kind of a disappointment. I dunno, he just seemed like such a weener. Someone dru wouldnt want to date.

Maybe that was the point. He was so opposite of Spike and an insult to him from Dru.

Is that why spike started dating harmony, to insult dru back? ;D

No. Harmony was easy. Spike never did like to work for his girls overmuch.

i think you're right jenf10. he was used to illustrate dru's contempt for spike's change in behavior. i liked this episode because it showed spike as "william". who didn't feel compassion for spike when what's her face says he's beneath her! then buffy says it!
