What are you reading now? Or what have you read recently? Feel free to discuss what you've read and your thoughts on it.

I must admit it's been a while since I read anything. I've become a slave to the computer and the tv. The last book I've read was 'Down under' by Bill Bryson. I started reading it when I was on holiday, I've been meaning to finish it.

^ I know what you mean, I hadn't read anything for a very long time but then during the "summer" I started reading the "Tales of the Slayer" books and I've been reading different books since. Well, in the past couple of months I've read the "Buffy: Tales of the Slayer, Vols 1 - 4" books. Each book is very good, and it's nice to read about different Slayers from the past. The 4th volume is based on the Cruciamentum, so that was interesting to read how each Slayer (and Watcher) dealt with the event. I also read "Marley & Me" by John Grogan - it was really funny but also very sad at some parts. Even though it's a different breed of dog, it reminds me a lot of my own dog! I struggled to read the last few chapters (I could only read 1 at a time) because they were so sad (sad sad and happy sad...) and it made me cry a few times. I want to see the movie now, I wonder if it will have the same effect on me.

It's been ages since I read any buffy books. I used to read angel books too, in fact I started an angel book about 4 years ago, I stoped reading halfway through and haven't got back to it yet.

Well...I just started reading "Hotter Than Hell", I read it once before and I loved it. The book's basically a little collection of short stories, written by all these different authors, including one of my all-time favorites: Kim Harrison. I highly recommend this book, if you enjoy reading about the paranormal.. mixed with a touch of romance....

I'm currently reading "Dead Until Dark" by Charlaine Harris, the 1st book in the Sookie Stackhouse series - which the True Blood TV show is based on.

I'm reading like five or six books at a time so I don't get bored with em for some reason I get bored easily so I try to keep my mind occupied by reading more then one book. I'm reading a book called Fallen by Thomas E. Sniegoski, I'm also reading Breaking dawn as well as the 1st House of night novel. Like I said I like to keep my mind occupied so I don't get bored with what I'm reading, I'm a slow reader.

Wow, I can't really read more than 1 at a time, it was hard enough when I was in Uni reading one fiction book and also trying to read a book on coding or something. What is Fallen like? A friend recommended it to me based on the other books I read. I read Breaking Dawn not too long ago, I enjoyed most of it (especially the Jacob chapters - since I'm Team Jacob ) and I've read 4 or 5 of the House of Night books, I've really enjoyed them and they're so quick and easy to read.

^ Reading everyone's picks makes me feel so stuffy - my head is usually buried in older stuff. I just finished re-reading "The Color Purple" by Alice Walker, and I'm going to go back through the Dostoyevsky bibliography when I get some free time.
