What did everyone think of him? Would you have liked to see more of him? He was only in 4 episodes, but it seemed longer than that because they were spread out over 3 seasons. Was he truly evil, or was he just amusing himself and not thinking about the consequences?

They should have developed the history between him and Giles more.

i don't think he was evil. i think he was self-gratifying--same as a lot of people, especially people in a position of power.

I did not like Ethan Rayne. If you read the book Chaos Bleeds you will understand. I never saw him on the show though..........just the book so i may need to see the eps

If anyone here has read the chaos bleeds book or played the game, can you tell me what's ethan like there? How is he different to how he is on the show?

I agree with jennf10. There wasn't enough information about Ethan Rayne and Giles, let alone Ethan himself. Fans didn't have enough information to develop a real sense of Ethan, his motives, and his soul.

I think the episode 'the killer in me' would have worked a lot better if it turned out the main villain was ethan and not amy. It would have fixed so many holes to say that he returned and transformed kennedy into warren just to mess with the scoobie gang.

I thought that the whole Ethan Rayne character was a bit pointless. But, I have to say that he was funny at times.
