I'm looking for suggestions of ways to improve the forum - this can be the look of the forum, the way the boards are set out, how to get members to be more active, anything. I know less and less people are watching Buffy and so less and less people will join the forum. But there are a lot of members already on this forum and I just want suggestions of how to get you to come here and post more often. I know I'm not as active here as I used to be and I apologise for that. You can either reply in this thread or PM me. Any suggestions/help will be grately appreciated.  |

One minor thing - it would be nice to have some episode review threads for the Angel boards. After finishing copying over my Buffy reviews, I'd like to get started on the others. |

Great! And I will also redo my season 1 reviews and then review all the other Buffy eps then the Angel ones... well it's better than doing work for Uni.  |

would it be worth changing it to a general whedon board now?
A large area for Buffy a
A large area for Angel
small one for firefly
small one for dollhouse
one for all his other projects
and an area for general tv and films
just an idea

Not many people are active on this, and it could be a numbers of reasons why. I was pretty active but then I realized that no one else was, so I stopped. You should add some cool stuff--like a board dedicated to Buffy Tribute Videos, and I could give some videos to post on it that are really really awesome. And a Buffy Ringtones Board, because I've made a few that are funny. Like when Wesley arrives and tells Buffy to search for that gem and she says: Whenever Giles sends me on a mission (somethinglikethat) he always says please..and afterwards I get a cookie.
And when Wesley says: I didn't get this job because of my looks.
Buffy: I really really believe that.
I have those two ringtones and the theme song. BTW: I'm gonna try to upload all the Bufy fight scenes onto YouTube--I just need a camcorder first, LOL>

I agree that it would be nice to have some more people posting, though I'm not sure how we would go about it.
I think it's hard to grab fans for a show that's now been off air for 7+ years, and especially ones who can discuss it with a little more depth. One of the things I really like about this forum is that we can praise (and criticise) the show in detail, and everyone else gets it instead of coming out with stuff like 'you didn't like that, so you're not a REAL FAN!!!!'

^ True. I love going into depth with our discussions, it's so much more enjoyable that when people make one-sentence posts. However, I also think part of the problem with this board these days is that it seems like most discussions are the kind you have to put a lot of time and effort into, like the reviews, or giving overviews of each season of buffy. I think it would benefit the board if we could have some new threads where we discuss something where, once you see someone else's post, you can post your reply straight away instead of having to go and think about it. Newcomers might be more likely to post in a 'lighter' discussion. The trouble is of course that a lot of topics have already been covered.  |

We need some new ideas on how to get people back to the board. I know...But I can't think of how to do that if no one comes on it anyways. Then how will they KNOW that the site is better? I wouldn't know how to post Tribute Videos on here, but you could go to my YouTube channel and watch all the Favorites I have of them--or go to my Buffy Fan Site and I will post them there later. I'd like to have some help with my site so it could be better--I've neglected it quite a lot. But if more people were on here, I'd be on this thang all the time! And if you're a BUFFY FAN you stay one, no matter how many years have passed. cyclica: Did you make your signature? And how do I get one like that? it doesn't seem to work for me. |

There is a thread around here somewhere where she takes requests and makes sigs for people. If you want her to make one for you, you could always ask. ^ You have a buffy fan site?
