Everyone knows that it'd be a good idea for a Faith spin-off. I'm pretty sure every one knows that that was a plan. Joss Whedon had the idea, and met with Eliza Dushku with the idea, but she declined. Why do you think she did that?

She wanted to work on tru calling instead.
Personally I'd rather she'd stuck with playing faith.

Yeah, I guess. I love Tru Calling, but I like Faith better. I think she could have post-poned Tru Calling. Now, she probably wishes she did the Faith spinoff since Tru Calling was short lived.

When tru calling was cancelled I rememebr thinking 'alright, finally we'll be getting that faith spin off!', but then dollhouse was announced and dashed my hopes yet again. :-\

Yeah. Now, I'd rather have "Dollhouse" more than a Faith spinoff. I'm pissed they are canceling it for good. It's the best show she's done, not including "Buffy."

Well, you can't really post-pone a show. If anything, they would have given the job to a different actress. I think Eliza wanted to be seen as an actress that has variety in what she can pull off. Playing Faith right after Buffy ended would have sort of pigeon-holed her into an "action/horror heroine". Not that it would be a bad thing, but it doesn't appear to be something she wanted at the time.
