I was reading some of the threads on the Proboards Support forum and found a topic discussing whether guests should be allowed to reply to topics. Some people said yes, as then they get more replies. Others said no because they may just spam the forum. So I was wondering what you thought. At the moment, guests can read through most of the boards on this forum but I was thinking of making certain boards - for example, the Welcome board - open for guests to reply in. What do you think?

I think that making the Welcome board accessible to guests might be a good idea - they can drop in and test the forum before 'committing' to it with an id and email address. I don't know if I'd want the main boards to have the same thing, though - there's too much opportunity for junk or pointless, caps-locked ZOMG BANGEL RULES 4EVA!!! posts that would just clutter things up.

We hardly have a lot of posts these days anyway, except for the games.
I say let guests post everywhere, and if they misbehave then you can turn off the feature.
