Willow woke up to the sound of bad pop music playing on the radio. Sighing, she she rolled over and turned off the alarm clock, climbing out of bed. Going to the wardrobe, she got dressed before exiting her new bedroom, a small room in Giles' apartment. Feeling uncomfortable and nervous at the thought of another magic lesson at the coven, she called out.
"Giles?"

Giles was in the kitchen singing to himself in a low voice so he would be sure not to wake Willow. The pancakes and eggs just finished cooking when he heard Willow call his name from her room she was staying in down the hall. Giles poked his head in the door and greeted her.
"Mornin' Willow. Breakfast is almost ready. Did you rest well?"
Giles had been in England with Willow for quite some time now trying to help her focus and controll the power she had. She was coming along rather well too, but he knew they still had a long way to go.

"I slept okay," Willow answered. "Only two nightmares, which is down from the ten-or-so I used to have". Taking a chair, she pulled up at the table.
"Thanks for doing breakfast. I guess I still haven't gotten used to English time, despite being here so long. Or maybe I just don't like the boy bands on the alarm clock radio." She paused briefly.
"So, what time did you want to leave? I guess I should get my stuff for magic lesson..." she trailed off, "although I just wish I could get rid of it. What if I can't ever learn to control it?"

Giles prepared a plate of food for Willow and sat it down in front of her. Then he poured her some orange juice and proceded in fixing himself a plate of food.
"Willow..you're magic can be a very useful commodity once you learn how to focus your energies. I have every confidence in you to master that very skill."
He sat down at the table opposite Willow and began to eat.
"Enjoy your meal. We'll leave here as soon as your ready but don't dottle..we have a lot of work ahead of us."

"Thank you," replied Willow softly, meaning both for the food and the encouragement. Suddenly feeling very hungry, she started on the breakfast Giles had made for her, wondering what her next lesson at the coven would involve.
"Have you heard from Buffy?" she suddenly asked, wondering how her best friend - or at least, former best friend - was getting on. They hadn't spoken in so long, and she was worried that her friends might not take her back.

Giles looked up at Willow from his plate of food and saw her digging in.
"Uh yes, I've spoken to Buffy somewhat, just about the changes going on in Sunnydale with the new high school being built again."
He pauses for a moment.
"I've always told her about your progress."
Giles gave a small reasuring smile to Willow.

Giles' smile made Willow feel better; it seemed that Buffy was at least interested in how she was doing, and that was better than repulsed, or considering potential slayage. Although Willow knew that it was practically a Scooby membership criteria to have tried to kill the others at least once, she still had no idea what the others really thought about her attempt to destroy the world. Tara's death still hurt more than anything, but worse was the feeling that she had totally betrayed everything her soulmate had ever stood for.
Oh, Goddess... she thought, I have to stop thinking like this, I'll never get better if I don't make myself work for this.... She had to do this, both her her friends, for Tara, and most importantly for herself. Time to get to business.
"What do you think the cleansing today is going to be like?" she asked Giles. They - as well as the coven witches - had decided the best thing to do would be was strip her of the dark magic she had taken, allowing her natural abilities to slowly grow back - and she would hopefully be better at controlling them by then.

"I'd imagine just a bit more intense than the others. Today, a great amount of the dark magic will be taken from you. We need to see your reaction to a big change and if you could still manage to handle such changes."
Giles finished the last few bites of breakfast on his plate and carried his plate over to the sink. He rinsed it off and stuck it in the dishwasher. Then he turned back to Willow.
"About finished?"

"Yes, thank you," Willow replied, finishing her last bite of pancake. Standing up, she took her plate over to Giles, who took it and placed it with his in the dishwasher.
"I guess we'd better think about going," Willow noted, glancing at the clock in the kitchen. She was incredibly nervous, but part of her looked forward to finally getting rid of the dark magic, and she trusted both Giles and the coven witches totally.

Giles looked at the clock.
"Of course. Let's get going then."
Giles and Willow headed out the front door to his apartment and made their way to Westbury.
